When you discuss the topic of time with a teacher in March, you will get a torrent of words. March is the time when the school year starts crashing down around a teacher. State testing is coming, and the entire year’s curriculum must be taught by then (the fact that there is still a month of school left after testing is out of our control). Culminating projects loom. They will look awesome for Open House, but right now it’s a push to get them done. Then there’s the end-of-school field trips to plan, sixth grade graduation, and another set of report cards. To make matters worse, the panic has not set in yet among the students. They are innocently enjoying the sunshine and taking their time with everything.
