Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Hello! If you have already read one of my books; thank you so much. I really hope you enjoyed getting acquainted with Alice and discovering Finwip society. I love to hear from my readers, so your feedback is always welcome. You never know – perhaps your suggestions will appear in the next book!
What was your favorite book as a child or teen?
If I must limit it to just one: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. I had lots of favorites!
I find it interesting to know what environment people write in. Do they use a pen and paper, laptop? Quiet room, music or what? Dog at their feet? Cat on the desk?
I write the outline notes for my books using pen and paper – I like the flexibility of being able to jot down ideas wherever I am, indoors or outdoors, in the car (not while I’m driving!)
The story itself is written on my laptop sitting at my desk. I’m afraid I prefer silence for concentrating! My dog, a very moody Golden Retriever named Lewis, is usually sulking at my feet. He despises my laptop; he sees it as competition for attention!
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
My aim was to take readers on a fantastic journey of discovery, using characters and an environment which are real enough to make it believable. However, I can’t deny that a message is always beneath the surface, and that is, ‘it’s OK to be different.’ In fact, it’s an advantage! Life would be so dull if we were all the same.
What sort of Starbuck’s coffee would your characters order?
Alice and Sarah are very loyal to the Coffee Cauldron! They don’t drink coffee, so they always have a hot chocolate with the works. Thomas likes the occasional Caramel Macchiato, while Grandad is a fan of Americano.
